Welcome to the Pennard Garden Society website.

Our Society is open to anyone who wants to become a paid member and who respects our policies. We aim to help members through an atmosphere of friendship, respect and care for each other.
We aim to organise a range of talks, events and outings to suit the interest, and meet the needs of a wide variety of people.
We encourage members to share their horticultural skills with both members of the Society and the wider community. We are keen to be part of community horticultural projects
We look forward to welcoming you at our events.

Our meetings take place on the 2nd Monday of every month, at 7:15pm in the Pennard Community Hall, next to the school

The Wellness Garden now has a new bed, which has been populated with ‘fragrant’ plants – roses, honeysuckle, sweet peas and lavender. We have recently planted wallflowers and over 300 scented Narcissi, which should provide a glorious display in the spring . Pictures of the development of the bed are on the Wellness Garden page. We hav finished working on the garden for this year, but once the weather improves in the spring, members of the Garden Society will be at the garden every Monday afternoon from 2 to 3 pm. So please come along and have a chat, ask questions or help out. You don’t need to be a member, so just turn up!

A spin off from the Wellness Garden has been the setting up of Wellness Walks. These are gentle walk for all abilities. Aimed at improving fitness, aid well-being and helping you to make new friends.
You can enjoy a stroll down to Southgate, where you can stop for a cuppa and a chat, before heading back.
The walks are FREE, but if you want to take part, please book a place by phoning or texting: 07826 296677

The inaugural walk took place on the 25th of April (see picture below), with subsequent walks taking place every Monday, leaving the Wellness Garden at 13:30
