At our March garden society meeting we were very privileged to have Dr Roy Bailey Wood talk to us about British orchids.There are a great variety spread all over the UK. Here on Gower and at Kenfig, we are very fortunate to have a a wide selection of these amazing plants.We were told that the first early orchids will be appearing in about four weeks (early April). We will be doing field trips in June to see the orchids in Kenfig , dates will be released nearer the time.We also were told about the Yellow Whitlow grass that is in flower near Pennard castle.We are so fortunate to live in an area with so many wild flowers. Above are some photographs of Yellow Whitlow Grass taken at the castle.
